2009

La Jolla, San Diego, USA. - Training in the fundamentals of film editing with Mary Lynn Price, videographer and documentary film-maker. We embarked on making a series of short films featuring a flotilla of bamboo boats made by Claire Beynon in New Zealand for the 2008 research season in Antarctica. The boats were released into the ocean eighty feet below the sea ice of Explorers Cove and filmed as they made their dreamlike voyage upwards to the ice ceiling. We gathered extensive underwater footage of this drifting flotilla before retrieving them for future projects. (Creative director, Claire Beynon in collaboration with biologist/diver Sam Bowser, diver/vidographer Shawn Harper, divers Steve Clbuesch & Cecil Shin and diver, musician and film-maker, Henry Kaiser.

2009
